About Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology
The Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, also otherwise known as MANIT Bhopal, is one of the renowned institutes of the country. MANIT Bhopal was initially called the Maulana Azad College of Technology and this was one of the 1st eight regional engineering institutes of India. The MANIT Bhopal is named after the famous educationist and the great scholar, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, who was also India’s 1st education minister. The Indian government and the Madhya Pradesh state government collectively sponsored the MANIT Bhopal in the year 1960 in order to appeal and drawn in young and bright pupils from all over the country. Currently, with nearly 4000 students and 200 faculties, the MANIT Bhopal is meeting all the objectives of raising competent manpower of the top-class quality meet the challenges of the constantly growing industrial requirements of our country, successfully. The Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, has been granted with the position of ‘An Institute of National Importance’ and the MANIT Bhopal University also has been declared as an important and a respected University.
MANIT Bhopal is located in the centre of the city of Bhopal, set-up on a lovely plateau, with the campus spread across an area of 650-acres. MANIT Bhopal has eight hostels that have excellent lodging and food facilities, plus a 24-hours security watch as well. The computer centre, workshops, canteen, athletic ground, auditorium and the energy centre are the places at the MANIT Bhopal, where pupils enjoy a competitive and a healthy environment. The students at MANIT Bhopal not only accomplish confidence and maturity but also transform themselves right, for the world’s future.
Amongst the regional institutes developed in the country, MANIT Bhopal was within the first few ones to be established. The MANIT Bhopal was set-up with the aim of pulling in the young eager minds for undertaking technical studies, so they can create niche for their own selves around the world as well as help towards the country’s development.
